Hello Kitty Apple build front view

This build has 2 sections. There is the head and the body.

I began by laying out the base layer of the bricks. I wasn’t able to use my nanoblock pad because the side pieces were off-center.

Hello Kitty Apple build side view

I added several layers of bricks. This added the eyes and nose.

I closed up the head. Then I added the ears and bow.

Next, I began to work on the body. It began with the base of the apple that Hello Kitty is sitting on.

Hello Kitty Apple build back view

I built the apple out of layers of red bricks. The final layer included a green leaf.

Next, I began Hello Kitty’s actual body. There were lots of piecing and small bricks used to create all the colors in her outfit. I wish the blue was a bit easier to read in the instructions.

The final step was to connect the body and the head. There are a couple of diagrams to show how this is done.

Things I liked:

  • I like how much detail went into Hello Kitty’s body, even though it meant working with a bunch of small bricks

Things I didn’t like:

  • I found the blue a bit hard to read for which bricks to use because the instructions are so dark

This build has 2 major sections. There is the head and the body.

I began the head by laying the base layer of bricks out on my nanoblock pad.

Kerokerokeroppi build side view

I added several layers of green, black, and pink. The black was for the mouth and pink for his cheeks.

Next, I added the green to act as the back of the eyes. Then I added the front of the eyes by adding stacks of black and white bricks.

Next, I started work on the body. I laid the feet out on the baseplate.

Kerokerokeroppi build back view

I added several more layers to create the body. The legs are only 1 stud deep, while the main body is 2 studs deep. This meant every time I added a layer, the body pushed off due to the angle.

The last step was to attach the head to the body.

Things I liked:

  • I like how big Kerokerokeroppi’s are. They match the character well

Things I didn’t like:

  • I wish that the legs were 2 studs deep because it would have made building the body much easier

Cinnamoroll build front view

This kit was re-released at NBCC_012B.

This build is broken up into 2 parts. There is the head and the body.

The head begins by laying the base bricks out. I used my nanoblock pad.

The head is built in straightforward layers. In the layers, I added the mouth, cheeks, and large eyes.

Cinnamoroll build side view

Next, I closed up the head.

To finish the head, I needed to add the ears. There aren’t directions for how to build the ears, which was disappointing. I was able to figure out how to build the ears by counting studs to figure out that the base layer was 3 long.

To build the body, I began by laying out the feet on the baseplate.

Cinnamoroll build back view

I added layers of bricks to create the body. I added his tail and arms.

The final step is to connect the head to the body. There are a couple of diagrams to show how to connect the head.

Things I liked:

  • I liked that the build includes Cinnamoroll’s tail

Things I didn’t like:

  • I hate that there aren’t directions for how to build his ears.

My Melody build front view

I began the build by laying the foundation of the head out on my nanoblock pad. This is the bottom of My Melody’s signature hood, so the bricks are pink.

Then I built the head up in layers. I added the face to the front of the build and built up the back of the hood. I added the nose and very large eyes.

After 5 layers to make the face, the bricks changed to all pink to round off and close up the head.

My Melody build side view

The last step of the head is to add My Melody’s ears.

I then started to work on the body.

I laid the feet out on the baseplate.

My Melody build back view

I then built the body up in layers. I was a bit annoyed that the leg is only 1 brick thick, which would make attaching the head more difficult.

The final step is to attach the head to the body. The head is massive compared to the body, so it was a bit tricky.

My Melody build front 3/4 view

Things I liked:

  • I like how big My Melody’s eyes are

Things I didn’t like:

  • I don’t like how big the head is in relation to the body. It made attaching the body more difficult because the body kept collapsing
