I began by building the head by laying the bricks out on my nanoblock pad. It takes 3 steps to create the foundation of the head.

Then I built the head up in layers. I added the ears, nose, and sunglasses. While building the head, I needed to be careful about which slanty pieces to use because which ones you used changed at each step.

After building the head up and closing it up, I flipped the head over to add the neck and round out the ears.

I began the body by building the shirt. I like how the shirt looks scruffy and scrunched up. This means that the base layers are off-center, so I couldn’t use my nanoblock pad.

I built the body in layers, creating small juts to attach the arms later.

After building the torso, I built both arms and attached them to the build.

Next, I built the legs. I like how the one leg he is standing on is on a base, which makes the build fairly sturdy. It was a bit tricky to line up the legs so that it looks like one leg is over the other. I do like how the finished legs look.

The final step is to attach the head to the body.

Things I liked:

  • I like how the depth is created, so it appears one leg is in front of the other

Things I didn’t like:

  • I don’t love how his left hand looks with the random curl up
